Alfredo Rivetti Hut is owned by C.A.I. Biella, and it is located at 2,180 mt. near the Mologna Gande Pass at 2,364 mt. that link Cervo and Gressoney valleys

Rifugio Alfredo Rivetti - Montagna biellese

You can access from Piedicavallo at 1,030 mt, the last village in Cervo valley, starting from Ravere Park (you can find a kiosk) following path E60 that runs along Mologna stream.

This path shows no particular difficulties, except for the difference in altitude which is 1,150 meters and the fact that is mostly a mule track crossing Anval Alp at 1,634 mt, and then Lavazei Alp at 2,000 mt, still used by shepherds.

The GTA – Gran Traversata Alpina (a long-distance hiking trail in Piedmont) passes from here, and the hut is the first stop-over in Biella’s Alps in north-to-south journey. Here, it starts the Alta via (high path) of Biella’s Alps, a significant ridge itinerary of several days for experienced hikers.

The hut has a winter room for closing season.
